Seems like a typical MGCP craziness, H.323 or SIP would never suffer of such problems.

Hmm...not sure what this has to do with MGCP craziness as such...

What u want to check is with VPM stopped, does the GW have IP connex

to any of those 10.2  CUCM servers?

I think the OP point is, no matter what the VPN state is, VG should never unregister a CM that is in the same subnet (check original post).

My experience is that MGCP does not produce good results in any but the most simple configuration, and sometime not even there.

Then again each one is free to choose their design and go with the consequences.

Ah..does the CCM trace show the reason for GW unregistering?

Could it something on the current active CCM losing connex to

PUB (sdl link down) ?

Is it just this GW that is unregistering or other devices (phones etc.)

that use the same SUB as primary call processing agent ?

Perphaps the OP can clarify.

Post does say that GW is pointed to 10.2 CCMs for backup

so I assumed they all are part of the same cluster....

10.10.9.5  is registered to 10.10.9.200   backup 10.2.9.200  10.2.9.201

agree, some clarification around this be help...

Correct, I did not read troughfully this time.

Also I think SDL over VPN is not a good idea, but I gave the general caveat emptor above already.
