Cisco 3825 - How to configure preferred codec for E1-PRI calls

Hi all,

I want to have only g.711ulaw codec supported for all the E1-PRI calls. And  calls on other codecs should fail.

Am unable to get that configuration. Kindly help.

Please find attached my current configuration. 

Suggest how to configure the preferred codec for controllers E1 for E1-PRI  calls.

Any pointers would be highly useful.

Hi,

This config is for E1s that are controlled from MGCP

The PCM type is controlled from the CUCM admin page. It can only be A or U LAW

Basically it has to be A-LAW for every where except NORTH AMERICA, HONG KONG, TAIWAN & JAPAN

U-LAW  for NORTH AMERICA, HONG KONG, TAIWAN & JAPAN

If a call is tracersing the WAN the codec is controlled by the Regions & Locations within CUCM
