Cisco 7940 SCCP Frmware Upgrade through a PC.

Hi All,

I am having a cisco 7940 phone with APP Load ID " P0030301MFG2". I want to upgrade this SCCP phone to 8.1.1 direct in one hop using a TFTP server installed in my computer (Laptop). So is there any step by step procedure available to do so.

Essentially, install a tftp server on your computer, host the phone files and properly configured XMLDefault.cnf.xml, point your phones tftp addr to your pc's address thats running the tftp server on the same subnet, reboot phone.

As Paolo said, there are many many many google hits and maybe even some youtube videos asking the same thing, you should be able to find anything further quite easily.
