The Cisco 7960G phone has 6 speed dial buttons but the way our phones are setup the first button has the ext number( line) attached to it and is therefore redundant. We only have 5 other buttons to use for speed dials. Is this normal? Is there a way we can have all six buttons available as speed dials.
if you press the keypad number referring to the speed dial, eg 5, 6, 7, all the way through to 99, you should see the AbbrDial softkey on the phone. Select that softkey and the phone will dial the speed dial associated with that number.
If you don't see the softkey then you may have to check your softkey templates.
