Cisco 8831 phone showing FAC in clear text during call setup.

Hi,

Recently we have deployed Cisco 8831 conference phone registered to CUCM 8.6.2 and realised that this phone is showing clear text on FAC during call setup. Once the call is connected, the display is back to normal.

Anyway to hide or encrypt the FAC on the phone display during call setup? Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks.

Symptom:
Force Authorization key is displayed on dial screen and also in Call History. if you redial the same number from call history then call number includes the FAC number followed by originally called number

Conditions:
Phone Model: 8831
Firmware:sip8831.9-3-3-5

Workaround:
None

Further Problem Description:
In the logs also we can clearly see the FAC code :

REFER message to phone And FAC Code is 91000

Any solution on this issue? Is it possible try upgrade to the latest version 8.6.2 SU5 ?

Hi ,

I suggest opening TAC case since fix is available in version 9.3(3)ES5 which u can get only from TAC or take suggestion of TAC whether upgradation of CUCM is the only resolution.
