Cisco 8831

I have found many articles related to the Cisco 8831 device pack. I have purchased a few of these conference phones recently. I installed device pack cmterm-8831-sip.9-3-3-5.cop.sgn and restarted the whole cluster. My version of CUCM is 7.1.5.35901-1. I see the files under file management but do not see it when adding a new device. Is there something I'm missing? I have checked a lot of the other articles but do not see any that relate to my problem.

Thanks in advance to any reply!

 Hi tdilley4938,

cmterm-8831-sip.9-3-3-5.cop.sgn is firmware its which you have installed, Its not device pack. You got to install "cmterm-devicepack7.1.5.36121-2.cop.sgn" and then reboot the cluster. Then you see 8831 Device page.

You did NOT install a device pack, you just installed the phone firmware.

A device pack clearly says it's a device pack in the file name. Just as the file you installed, says it's phone FW just before you download it: 8831 IP Phone SIP Firmware

Install the device pack for your version, cluster reboot, and it should be there.
