Cisco 8945 - Handset hang up issue with Internal busy call

Hello,

We are facing an issue with 8945.

When we call (with a 8945) an other internal 8945 which is busy, we have the following softkey on the screen: End of call or recall.

     - If we only hang-up with handset without to push one of the two softkeys, the call stays active during 15-20s before to hang-up.

     - If we push the softkey End of call, the call is immediately terminated

     - If we push the softkey recall, we have the recall message

Our environment is:

CUCM / CUPS: 9.0.1.10000-21

Cisco 8945 SIP9-3-2-12

Thank you very much if you can help us

Best regards

Maxime

Hi Maxime,

Looks like this bug

8945 SIP: unable to end call via hook-switch when calling a busy line

CSCud43423

Symptom:

Phone-A:

CP-8945 (SIP8941_8945.9-3-2-12)

Phone-B:

phone type and firmware does not matter

scenario:

- Phone-B is busy

- Phone-A calls Phone-B

- Phone-A gets "Busy" on the display and hears the "Busy-tone" in the handset

- Phone-A places the handset back on the phone (to hang-up)

-> but nothing changes:

- display of the Phone-A still shows the connection to Phone-B

- the busy-tone can still be heard in the handset of Phone-A

- if you press end call, the call ends fine.

- If the call is connected, placing the handset down will end the call.

Conditions:

Phone-A:

CP-8945 (SIP8941_8945.9-3-2-12)

Phone-B:

phone type and firmware does not matter

Workaround:

Use softkey endcall instead of hook-switch or downgrade firmware to 9.3.1

Known Affected Releases:

(1)

9.3(2)

Known Fixed Releases:

(2)

9.3(2)ES2

9.3(2)SR1

Cheers!

PS: if you are ever looking for bugs related to the 8900 series of IP phones

they are actually found under the 6900 series for some strange reason
