Cisco Call Manager Registration - Line not configured

Hi,

We are trying to register our third-party SIP based video endpoint with CUCM. We have added a third-party Advanced SIP device and added digest authentication. And also, we have added a line-1 information in the device page for this phone.

We send the following REGISTER request to CUCM:

REGISTER sip:10.24.60.12;transport=udp SIP/2.0

Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 10.24.125.17:5060;rport;branch=z9hG4bKPjMkrd-3CYtdGOJ9qLoVe07bZ1bY6onUcC

Max-Forwards: 70

From: "VPW-TelyHD" <sip:VPW-TelyHD@10.24.60.12>;tag=7l2F1GgyV6g4-iRh51u2kC5x7rK3ZHej To: "VPW-TelyHD" <sip:VPW-TelyHD@10.24.60.12>

Call-ID: e-Vl-pItMFzDmDl2NvDogm27lGGQgitS

CSeq: 61472 REGISTER

User-Agent: Tely_v4.4.0-247

Contact: "VPW-TelyHD" <sip:VPW-TelyHD@10.24.125.17:5060;ob>

Expires: 3600

Allow: PRACK, INVITE, ACK, BYE, CANCEL, UPDATE, SUBSCRIBE, NOTIFY, REFER, MESSAGE, OPTIONS, INFO

Authorization: Digest username="VPW-TelyHD", realm="ccmsipline", nonce="KvVb61ti0+TQc49Rouj3c/Au0MfIcPqX", uri="sip:10.24.60.12;transport=udp", response="f5c986aa054327204e014c09a9569060", algorithm=MD5

Content-Length: 0

But CUCM rejects the registration with the following response:

SIP/2.0 404 Not Found

Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 10.24.125.17:5060;rport;branch=z9hG4bKPjMkrd-3CYtdGOJ9qLoVe07bZ1bY6onUcC

CSeq: 61472 REGISTER

Can you please suggest what may be the issue here ? And what needs to be changed/added to get our registration working ?

Thanks,

Kiran

It's sending "VPW-TelyHD" instead of the extension in the register message.  Need to change that setting on the SIP device to send the extension instead.

I am also getting exactly same error : Warning 399 CUCM Line not configured.

Attached is pcap file snap. Pl suggest

Hi Javed,

Make sure that you are entering the username, extension and digest credentials in the respective configurations as mentioned in the deployment guide/integration guide for the third party phone/
