Cisco CallManager Error:16389

Hi everybody

I have a Call Manager Cluster 4.2(3) composed of 4 servers: A publisher and three subscribers.

I see in the Real Time Monitoring tool that one of the Subscrbers suddently doesn't have any registered telephone but the Call Manager Console shows all telephones registered in it. At the same time, when this problem occurs, the Cisco Unified CallManager Serviceability (tools> control center> "IP address of the subscriber") shows this error: "Cisco CallManager Error:16389, This service doesn't exist in the Win2k Service Control Manager"

This state lasts some minutes and after that the cluster works normally again, but if there is an active call during the error in a telephone registered in the subscriber with the problem, the call is droped.

I look for this error in the support web page of cisco systems but there isn't any documentation about it.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Cisco CallManager Error:16389

In order to resolve the issue, you need to load the Cisco CallManager service into the Windows Services:

Open the Command Prompt and choose Start > Run > Type: cmd.

Type CD c:\Program files\cisco\bin.

Run the ccm.exe service command in order to load the process in the Windows Services.

Then you need to start the service from the Windows Services window and set it up to start automatically.

In case issue still persists, it is possible that you need to restart the Server.

Refer to Installation, Backup, and Restore Issues for more information.
