Cisco CallManager in "cm service" alternating status running and not running

Hi Guys,


I did upgrade CUCM 7.1.3 for CUCM 8.6.2 and verify that the service CallManager in "cm service" stay not running after restart it did running, but, after more or less one minute the servivce staty not running again. I did restart many time the service and the CUCM, but, the problem continue.

Any have Idea about this.

correct, you can obtain the MAC by issuing "show status" from the CLI.

You use the LICENSE MAC for VMs.

Be aware that unless this is for lab/testing purpose your deployment is not supported by Cisco because of that upgrade path (nothing before 8.0(2) is supported on VM)

Do you have CUCM feature license for version 8 installed? That can cause it.

As told for Rob the CUCM was installed in VMWare 4.1 ESXi. I Will verify about the license.

Hi Wilson,

The Callmanager Service won't stay started until the 8.x Software feature License

for 8.x has been loaded.

If you ordered the 8.6 upgrade DVD's from Cisco via PUT (Product Upgrade Tool)

the PAK should be included and can be submitted to receive the Software feature

license

Thank You for your contact. I was with this suspect. I installed first VMWare ESXi 4.1 in a one UCS C210, after then install CUCM 7.1.3, after did the upgrade for version 8.2.6. I Will verify the License and inform for you the results. A one question: I need inform the MAC Address about UCS C210 Server to generate the license?
