cisco cp-7942g problem

hi all.

we bought new cisco cp-7942G ip phone .after installation and configure it to ccme ,it doesnt register to cme oe even get ip in the voice vlan .

And it just show (configuring ip) message on the screen

SO what is happen??

How is DHCP configured. Can you share the config of the router. Is DHCp enabled on Ip phone.

dhcp is configured and the other phones can get ip

this is dhcp configuration

ip dhcp pool DHCPserver

   network 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0

   option 150 ip 192.168.1.1 // loopback interface

   default-router 192.168.2.1

this is the new phone conf.

Wael,

Did you compare the Switch Port config of this phone ( in issue ) with other working phones ? Any difference ?

Hi Wael,

             Check if the Port where the phone is plugged into has the voice lan confgured (switchport voice vlan ). Also try to see if you can give the IP manually on the phone and check if it registers. Make sure the DHCP is enabled in the CME to give the IP to the phone.

Do you have other phones which are registered to this CME?

i install another one 7912 in the same port its ok

for giving ip address manually

1) Do **#

2) Disable DHCP yes

3) Give ip address, Mast, Default gateway and Tftp ip address.

Hi,

Do you see any CCM ip address already present in ip phones configuration. If yes do one thing

1) Press **#

2) Go to erase configurtion and select yes.

3) It will restart and it will start configuring phone again.

Tell us what happens after that.

Also send debug tftp outputs when this phones is regestering after the bove procedure.

better than before but it get ip in the data vlan even though it see voice vlan not data

the switchs we have 300 series ,i found that i must enter part of mac of the phone using switch gui
