Cisco IP 9900 phones

What is the difference between 8900 and 9900 phones?  Do we have to have CUCM 8 for these phones to work?

These phones are only supported by CallManager 7.1.3 and higher. Here are the data sheets that should explain differences and CUCM support as well.
