Re: Cisco Phones Upgrade

Hi Bilal,

you can get the firmware required from here : http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/Redirect.x?mdfid=278875240

now here are the steps to do an upgrade, here i assume that your phone is already registered to a Cisco Call Manager, if not post in the thread.

1) download the required firmware from the link above.

2) Run the upgrade patch on the call manager, you can do this by burning the downloaded firmware to a CD/DVD or sharing via TFTP.

3) Go to the OS Admin page,  then go to Software upgrade > Install/Upgrade , and install the downloaded files.

4) This changes the firmware to be loaded and will upgrade the phones when you perform a restart on the phones.

Note : This will upgrade all phones of that model registered to your Call manager.

If you want to upgrade a single phone, post in thread.

these links should help you for the same

this is a good video tutorial on the same - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghzKRIfS-AY

Re: Cisco Phones Upgrade

Hi Thomas,

It´s only to upgrade an existing phone in the call manager. Or I can use it for add a new type of phone.

I need to add a new model Cisco IP Phone 7906 in CallManger 4.0. This model don´t exist on the list of phones in CallManager 4.0.

Regards
