One of our customers with Multisite with Centralized Call Processing deployment model would like to migrate from CUCM 5.0 to 8.0. As far as I understand, the only licensing options for 8.0 are UCL and CUWL. Currently there is approximately 1500 phones across 20 sites. During upgrade process customer also would like to migrate from Multisite Centralized to Multisite with Distributed call processing model. They would like purchase appropriate migration part numbers for Cisco UCL, Cisco UCSS and ESW on 1500 users. After that they would like to deploy 20 CUCM clusters across all sites (server licenses are included in UCL, HW is alredy purchased). The questions are: Is such way a right way to migrate? Is it possible to deploy any number of clusters using Unified Connect Licensing model? Do all UCL's must be generated for single publisher, or there is possibility to generate 500 licenses for one publisher, 300 to another and 45 licenses for each of the rest?
