Re: Cisco Unified Presence VmWare License

The personal communicator licenses come off your call manager as user and device licenses. If you download the admin guide it explains which licenses and how many are needed.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupc/1_2/english/installation/guide/cupc_ig_1_2.html

But to answer your question if you have user device lics then they will go on the call manager.

Re: Cisco Unified Presence VmWare License

You cant unless you register the lic to a non vmware mac address. Try it with out the lic as im pretty sure it comes with a 1 node license as standard. The unified communicator and phone messenger are all license via call manager not CUPS.
