cisco Unity Connection 9x: want to deleted voice messages for all users .

Hello ,

i have unity connection 9x (Business Edition ) , i want to delelet all voice messages (for all users ) from their mailboxes . is there any way ?

please advice .

Not from within the GUI, no. You could export the mailboxes using COBRAS, bulk delete everything, and then re-import.

I’ve never done this. It’s just a thing which came to my mind ;) Maybe you will give this a try.

1.    Create a “Message Aging Policy” which will delete the messages after one day.
2.    Make sure every user is linked to this Policy
3.    Wait one Day
4.    Check if the messages are gone
5.    Edit the Message Aging Policy to a value which is usefull (for example 15 days)

Please be careful when deleting “everything” often users depend on some messages on their mailbox. If you run out of storage, maybe a proper configured Message Aging Policy will do the trick.
