CiscoIPPhoneExecute and lamps

Hi,

Recently I have been playing with Cisco IP Phone Service.

I have a question about Cisco IP Phone Service XML object "CiscoIPPhoneExecute".

1) I know I can make a phone ring by this object, but what other things can you do with it?

2) Is it possible to force blinking Headset, Mute and Speaker lamp on IP phone somehow?

Thank you very much,

Taro

Hi

That object allows you to either call a URL, or an internal URI.

The URIs are detailed in the IP Phone Services app notes for your version of CCM on developer.cisco.com.

You can do things like play sounds, automate key presses, clear call histories, etc... As far as I'm aware you can't control the headset/mute/speaker lights. Presumably this is because it would only confuse users and give the appearance of a 'fault' on the handset.

You would be able to control the MWI light...
