Cluster Limit questions

Is there a limit to how many non-CM service based servers can be in a cluster such as MOH or TFTP?

Re: Cluster Limit questions

With Cisco Unified CM 7.x, a cluster may contain as many as 20 servers, of which a maximum of eight may run the Cisco CallManager Service that provides call processing. The other servers may be configured as a dedicated database publisher, dedicated Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) server, or music on hold (MoH) servers. Media streaming applications (conference bridge or media termination point) may also be enabled on a separate server that registers with the cluster.

If not your version, review the same chapter from the SRND for your CUCM version.

Re: Cluster Limit questions

Yes, but it depends on CUCM version.  Hard and fast rules.  1 Publisher.  8 Subscribers.  From there, you can have

additional "cluster" servers that serve specific purposes without providing specific DB or call-processing functions such as

TFTP, MoH, etc.

Java's link to the SRND should be sufficient to give you the numbers you need for your version.  Any further questions, just ask.
