cm fallback service....

in srst mode , is there any method that could retain the default display on bottom of 79xx ip phones which is (your current options) instead of the message that appears in bottom on 79xx series (during the srst mode) which is (cm fallback service ...) so that end users can not feel with any change if the wan link fails

Yes, add the following command under call-manager-fallback

"system message Your current options"

Hi ,

Cisco (7942, 7975) phones

Error : - 'UCM FALLBACK SERVICE OPERATING'

Users are not able to make call and phones are restarting.

What is the reason ? What action need to take ?

The phones have lost connectivity to their primary and backup cucm and are attempting to fallback into SRST. You need to investigate your network...or check that your CUCM service is running on the CUCM server
