CM upgrade from 8.0 to 8.5 failed

Hi,

I have a client trying to upgrade from 8.0.3.20000-2 to 8.5.1.13900-5 but he keeps getting an error . He downloaded the file from Cisco.

Errors:

Were the files merged into a single file?  Was checksum OK?

Check whether the name of the file is changed after merging? The name should not be changed.

Hi,

There was only one file to download.

UCSInstall_UCOS_8.5.1.13900-5.sgn.iso . It didn't come in parts.

Was the checksum valid? Have them compare it to what's in the readme.

That's what I suspect . The MD5 I got from those errors was 7f:9c:c7:9a:ee:23:54:23:5c:a1:ec:34:c2:b5:84:4f but the MD5 checksum in the original download section is 22cb5ad5bfe78e184e93b233721211a1.

I've told him know about the checksum.

Will let you know if that is the issue causing it to fail

yeah, have them download it again and check the MD5 checksum before continuing with the upgrade.

Yes you were right it was the MD5 checksum issue .

He downloaded again and did the hash calculation and it came out to be right
