CME 12.4(24)T and phones 7942 and 7925

Hi folks,

I'm trying to replace two broken phones on my network with two new one but there is no dialtone on them.

My call manager express has IOS 12.4(24)T and I have several 7962 an 7911 already registered and functioning from years.

The result of "Show ephone registered" says me that both new phones are connected/registered but there is no dialtone and if I call those phones they seem to be busy (but obviusly they aren't).

This is the "Show ephone registered" result:

The ephone-7 is the only one that is working between these three phones. It is a type 7962.

Ephone -6 is a 7642

Ephone-10 is a 7925

What can I do to fix the problem?

Many thanks!

Diego

You need to create some DNs for those phones.

ephone-dn 20 (change to fit your numbering system)

number 5000 (change to fit your DN range)

ephone-dn 21

number 5001

ephone 6

button 1:20

ephone 10

button 1:21

Then reset the phones.

Diego,

It looks like ephone 6 doesn't have a DN assigned to button 1 (only button 2).

You could add "auto-line 2" to ephone 6 so that it can make outgoing calls without selecting the 2nd line.

It looks like ephone 10 doesn't have any directory numbers on any of its buttons so it will not be able to make a call until DNs are added.

Brian

Many thanks for your reply, Brian.

So do you think that there aren't problems of compatibility between my CME, its IOS and these phones with their firmware?

Thanks again

Diego

Not from that output.  Right now it just looks like a misconfiguration.

Brian

Thanks Brian. So, this is the configuration: what I should change on ephone 6 and 10?

Many thanks Brian!

I've already set the DNs (I've not posted them yesteday) but I didn't know that I must set the button 1 for each ephone.

Which is the button 1?

Thanks again

Diego
