Hello--i'm trying to figure out an equivilent to a CTI route point for CME. I've got a client who has their existing PBX interconnected across a MAN to a CME system at a remote site, and in order to route calls to a particular number, i need the functionality of a CTI RP to act as a virtual phone so that a DN becomes active. Has anyone done something similar?

Just configure dial-peer appropriately, sometime need to do number manipulation. That's all.

Appreciate the info Paolo. I've actually been trying that and the issue i'm running into is i get an ISDN 'no route to number' message and an error tone. topology looks like this:
Avaya PBX --> C2901 router via PRI --> C2921 CME router via IP network
I can call the physical IP phones with no problem...not sure if it's some sort of codec issue or something?
Let me know and i can send the config to you via PM
thanks again.

One would need to look at relevant traces to see what's wrong.
