CME - 9.5 abbreviated internal dialing. (+E164 to 5 digits)

Hello All,

I am searching for an solution to allow CME users to dial +E164 DN (+33 and 9 digits) internal extensions as an abbreviated dial using "#" followed by the last four digits of the extension...

I 've created a translation rule and profile.... but how I can assign it to the telephony-service configuration ?

...

voice translation-rule 5000

rule 1 /^#\(5...$\)/ /+3312345\1/

!

voice translation-profile Trans-Interne

translate called 5000

!

I've created also a dial peer pots in which I've applied the translation profile....

it should not be difficult. Could you help me, please ?

Best Regards,

Christian.

You can use translation under ephone-dn, or bulk speed-dial, etc.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

I have about two hundred ephone-dn... So I have to use the translation under all ?

I'm going to try with one first.

Thanks

Normally not needed with proper configuration. But each case is different.

Hi (again) !

what is this command secondary in the ephone-dn ?

"ephone-dn  1  dual-line

number +3312345678 secondary ?????

Can it be use for abbreviated dialing ?

Thanks

I would stay with the translation pattern under the dial peer. No reason to put it under the ephone-dn, I believe.

Why is that not good for you?

Also, what problem are you experiencing right now?

Hi Francesco,

I get a busy tone as soon as I dial # and 5... or any other digits.

(calling with full E164 DN is ok.)

Hi All !

It's Ok.

I found that "#" can't be used as a digit. it is used to prevent waiting the "inter-digit timeout"....

So I change it to "F" as example.

And I used the secondary DN in the "ephone-dn" configuration, that is :

================

!

dial-peer terminator F

!

ephone-dn  1  dual-line

number +33123456789 secondary #6789

label TEST 1

name TEST 1

corlist incoming CSS-International

!

!

ephone-dn  2  dual-line

number +33123456788 secondary #6788

label TEST 2

name TEST 2

corlist incoming CSS-International

!

============================

Thanks for your help,

Best regards,

Ch.
