CME - Adding a prefix to callerid for incoming calls

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to manipulate the caller id for the incoming calls? This is my situation:

The same CME will be used for 3 different companies (A, B, C), having a pool of agents answering the calls for the 3 companies with a different greeting for each of them, so they will need to know what number was dialed by the customer to determine which greeting to use.

We will be using a 2821 CME 7, having an E1 to PSTN, receiving 10 lines for each company through the E1.

Is it possible to add like A, B or C (Company A, Company B, Company C) as a prefix to the caller id to differentiate the dialed number?

Any help will be apreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I don't believe this is possible.  You could, however, prefix a numerical identifier using translation-profiles/translation-rules.

Something like this:

voice translation-rule 10

rule 1 /\(.*\)/ /1*\1/

!

voice translation-profile companyA

translate calling 10

!

dial-peer voice 10 pots

description Company A

incoming called-number

direct-inward-dial

translation-profile incoming companyA

!

So a call from 2025551212 would present on the phone as *1*2025551212.  Granted, it isn't pretty.
