CME and conference with maximum sessions to 0

Hello,

I configured a CME 2811 to establish conferences. When I want to add a phone on the conference I have : "cannot complete conference".

Here the harware inventory :

NAME: "2811 chassis", DESCR: "2811 chassis"
PID: CISCO2811         , VID: V02 , SN: FCZ100172DD

NAME: "2nd generation two port FXO voice interface daughtercard on Slot 0 SubSlot 0", DESCR: "2nd generation two port FXO voice interface daughtercard"
PID: VIC2-2FXO         , VID: V01 , SN: FOC11277BNN

NAME: "3rd generation two port FXS DID voice interface daughtercard on Slot 0 SubSlot 1", DESCR: "3rd generation two port FXS DID voice interface daughtercard"
PID: VIC3-2FXS/DID     , VID: V02 , SN: FOC13513229

NAME: "PVDMII DSP SIMM with one DSP with half channel capcity on Slot 0 SubSlot 4", DESCR: "PVDMII DSP SIMM with one DSP with half channel capcity"
PID: PVDM2-8           , VID: V01 , SN: FOC11415G48

I configured the cme :

voice-card 0
 dspfarm
 dsp services dspfarm

I can't no shut the profile conference because maximu session is not defined. But the maximum  is 0

CCME(config)#dspfarm profile 2 conference

Is the DSP allocated for other ressources ?

Hiyes , you have to increase

Hi

yes , you have to increase your PVDM resources to get enough resources to do hardware conference . Your resources is used by Voice-cards 0/0 & 0/1.Can you disable transcode profie as the below:-

dspfarm profile 1 transcode
shu
no max sessions 1

dspfarm profile 2 conference
max sessions ?

Note: keep in your mind , no need for conference hardware if the conference will be between g711 participants "software Conference will be enough", if the conference will be done with other g729 Prticipant so in this time you will need conference hardware.

Thanks

There's no point in having him disable transcoding, it won't change a thing, he only has half DSP.

A HW CFB with PVDM2 requires the whole DSP for conferencing, unless you give up on using that half DSP for TDM termination and XCODER, and use it for a HW CFB, there's nothing to do here.

You need to buy more DSPs.

Ok, so if i want to make conference in G729 (transcode needed so), I need to buy PVDM . Because i don't have enough resource for both conference/transcoding.

How can i calculate it?

Is that right?

Thanks.

Use the DSP calculator online

Use the DSP calculator online, you'll need at least, another half DSP, or a full DSP, depending on how many conferences you want.
