CME hunt-groups and call forwarding

Hi Folks,

we want to have 2 phones ringing at the same time if a call comes in to a specific external
number of our CME,
so i configured a hunt-group and an according translation rule for the
incoming calls:

rule 1 /123456789/ /901/

voice hunt-group 1 parallel

final 199

list 101,102

pilot 901

Everything is working fine so far, but Call-Forwarding on both of the phones is not working
if you call the hunt-group 901 (if you call the phones directly it works).

I can image that this is a restriction of hunt groups in general; my question is now:

How do you usually work around this? The aim is to have

- an external number ringing on two (or more) phones

- the (user-friendly) ability to call-forward this external number in some situations to somewhere else

Thanks

Heinz

You are right, this is working as expected. You cant forward calls coming through a hunt group.

your options are..

1. Configure hunt group login/logout

2. configure a call forward no answer on the hunt pilot

When users are away, they logout of the hunt group and the call will divert to the cfna on the hunt pilot..

With CME is not possible to set CFNA on  hunt pilot. One sets "final" for the destiantion to reach when nobody logged in or no answer, and that's it.

Thanks!

Would it be an alternative to do the incoming translation to a separate DN, which can be assigned additionally to both ephones (instead of using a hunt group)?

Yes, it can be done like you say.
