CME Jabber Phone Issue

Hi,

I have an IP Telephony setup with CCME version 9.1 running on 2951 router.

We have recently added cisco Jabber mobile clients both Apple Iphone and Samaung Android phones to our CCME.

All the users are using Extesion mobilty for their desk phone.

We have assigned jabber for 5-6 users only.

The issue is that when Jabber is connected on the mobile phone and Extension mobility is logged in both working fine.

But When jabber is disconnected from the mobile phone then Jabber users cannot make outgoing call from their deskphone and they are not receiving any incoming calls.

They are getting a busy signal for incoming and in the desk phone also showing busy when they make outgoing calls.

When the issue is happening we can see that the MWI button is ON and the line button shows red for their deskphone.

We gave the same Directory  number for desk phone and Jabber.

When I delete the Jabber configuration for the users and re configure the Jabber it will work for 4-5 days and again the same issue will come.

like for example:

no voice register dn 31

no voice register pool 31

voice register global

create profile.

Then re configure :

When things work for a while then break, it's a bug.

So you have to contact the TAC for a fix.

Hi Paolo,

Your point is correct.Its a bug.CME only support Jabber on Windows and MAC.It was supported before and face lots of issues in Apple Iphone and Android.Now cisco has revert back the support for Iphone and Android in CME.

Yes. CME does not support Jabber on Iphone and Android. CME only supports Jabber on MAC and Windows. It was supported earlier CME versions, now  withdrawn complete support due some compatibility issue jabber software.

++ CUCM supports Jabber on IPhone and Android.

Please refer below CME compatibility matrix. You don’t see Jabber on Iphone and Jabber on Android in the supported device.

The only option available is to use CUCM.
