CME Multicast paging not working

Hi

I have a CME running version 4.0(2) and multicast paging is not working, but unicast is.

I suspect it might be a routing issue, but I'm not sure how the process works(message flow between CME and phone) and therefore I don't know where to look first.

Your input would be appreciated.

The problem here is that if the target phone shares or monitors the line that is used to originate the page, and then the CME system gets confused and does not think that the target phone is idle. Paging only goes to phones that are idle.

The multicast paging system will not work properly if you are using native vlan 1 as for the voice traffic.
