I'm waiting to activate a smartnet contract for the phone and router and will turn the problem to the TAC. Hopefully someone will pay attention to it.
That is good news Tony.
Also I'm using a 7931G that hangs sometime, do you have an update for that too ?
I usually go straight to ftp.cisco.com using CCO username and password, navigate to /cisco/ios and then the needed release and platform. Only, this does not allow you to download images with encryption/VPN.
Anyway, even with XJ1, the problem re-appeared after few hours. I've emailed Tony but have not received a reply yet.
Ok, so I'll wait because I need VPN support, and if the problems comes back in a few hours, not very useful ;)
Thanks a lot
i am also faced the same problem ,this problem due to the main call provider.
they have not added the numbers in to the list.contact your call provider to solve this issue.
No, this has nothing to do with provider or telco, it's bug in IOS CME. We are talking about outgoing calls.
Here is another update for the saga.
Loaded FW 8.0(5) on a 7940, IOS 12.4(11)XJ1.
Local directory -> place calls is always empty!!!
Downgraded the phone to 7.2(5). With this FW, it appears called numbers are OK.
I got the same problem (IOS 12.4(11)XJ & 7970G FW.7.0(3.0S)).
Downgrade to CME 4.0(3) (124-4.XC6) seems to work.
BTW, I can't find the IOS 12.4(11)XJ1 on cisco.com.
XJ1 doesn't show in software selector but is available going directly on the FTP site.
The issue should have been solved now. Yesterday 12.4(11)XJ2 has been released and I've tested the fix. This time the images are accessible from the "IOS upgrade planner".
Hope this helps, if so please rate post!
