Hi all,
Is it possible to have a CME (4.2), with 7940 running Skinny firmware and 3911 running Sip Firmware ?
I only need to specify the correct load in telephony-service ?
Thx
Fabian

CCME 4.2 can run both SCCP ip phones & SIP ip phones on the same platform. SIP phones will look for their phone loads & configuration using TFTP. Note that the default TFTP path for SIP files on CME is /cme/sipphone/.
Also the ephone configuration is a little different with SIP. Note the ephone configuration under "telephony-service" for SCCP is:
telephony-service
ephone
ephone-dn
ephone-template
while SIP is:
voice register global
voice register pool
voice register dn
voice register template

Do you mean 7911 ?
To confer to SIp firmware, you need to configure voice register paramenters, then factory reset the phone. it will then load the SIP files.
However you will find that phone functionalit is better with SCCP.
Hope this helps, pleaserate post if it does!

No I mean 3911 ^^. The new low cost Sip Phone from Cisco. It doesn't matter the phone type. I know how to change the firmware on a Phone. I just want to know if CME can manage skinny phone and sccp phone simultanously.
Thx
