Hi Guys,

I have the following setup

CUCM ---- GK--- CME

SIP phone is registered to CME and CME is also configured as CUBE. When i make call from CUCM IP phone to CME SIP phone, I do not have any problem. However if i call from CME SIP phone to CUCM i am having problem. Phone rings and when i pickup it get disconnect. When i call from CME SIP phone to CUCM IP Phone it suppose to be G729. However CME SIP phone does not invoke the CUBE transcoder which is configured on the CME.

I am not sure whether the is any special configuration required for SIP phone to invode CUBE which is configured on the same route.

I would appricate your help.

Thanks!!!

Ragu.

Use G.711, that will save you a lot of trouble,

Thanks. However , i found that fast start need to be enable for incoming call on the CUCM trunk to GK as CME initiates fast start.

Hi,

You can review your transcoding dspfarm resources, you have a codec issue because the call signaling is working good.
