Hi All,
In cme can you designate a specific button for a speed dial like a dn.
I have
ephone 21
mac-address [mac]
type 7961 addon 1 7914
button 1:21 2:29 3c1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
speed-dial 1 88 label "Pager"
speed-dial 2 XXXXXXXX label "XXXXXX"
speed-dial 3 XXXXXXXX label "XXXXXX"
button 7m91 8m92 9m93 10m94
button 11m95 12m96 13m97 14m98
button 15m99 16m100 17m101 18m102
button 19m103 20m104
from the above i believe the phone should have
Button 1 = DN 21
Button 2 = DN 29
Button 3 = DN 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
Button 4 = 88 (Pager)
Button 5 = XXXX (XXXXXXXX)
Button 6 = XXXX (XXXXXXXX)
and on the extension module,
Button 7 = Park Slot 91
Button 8 = Park Slot 92
Button 9 = Park Slot 93
Button 10 = Park Slot 94
Button 11 = Park Slot 95
Button 12 = Park Slot 96
Button 13 = Park Slot 97
Button 14 = Park Slot 98
Button 15 = Park Slot 99
Button 16 = Park Slot 100
Button 17 = Park Slot 101
Button 18 = Park Slot 102
Button 19 = Park Slot 103
Button 20 = Park Slot 104
but i get...
Button 1 = DN 21
Button 2 = DN 29
Button 3 = DN 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
Button 4 = Blank
Button 5 = Blank
Button 6 = Blank
and on the extension module,
Button 7 = Park Slot 91
Button 8 = Park Slot 92
Button 9 = Park Slot 93
Button 10 = Park Slot 94
Button 11 = Park Slot 95
Button 12 = Park Slot 96
Button 13 = Park Slot 97
Button 14 = Park Slot 98
Button 15 = Park Slot 99
Button 16 = Park Slot 100
Button 17 = Park Slot 101
Button 18 = Park Slot 102
Button 19 = Park Slot 103
Button 20 = Park Slot 104
The speed dials come up off the first page.Ie if i hade a second 7914 they show up there. But i want them on the phone..
How do i get the speed dials on the phone (button 4,5,6)
Please advise...

Hi Richard,
Odd isn't it? I think the thing that is throwing a wrench into this setup is this part of the config;
button 7m91 8m92 9m93 10m94
button 11m95 12m96 13m97 14m98
button 15m99 16m100 17m101 18m102
button 19m103 20m104
Along with this parameter in CME;
On an IP phone, speed-dial entries are assigned to unused line buttons. Then, after all line buttons are used, subsequent entries are added but do not have an assigned line button. The speed-dial entry is not related to the physical button layout of the phone. Entries are assigned in order of speed-dial tag.

Hope this helps!

hmmm ok
but if "On an IP phone, speed-dial entries are assigned to unused line buttons: is true.... why is the speed dials not showing up on the unused buttons 4,5,6.
It seems that speed dial must start after all button configurations. But that does not allow me to do what i wanna do.... :(
