CME where is the iDivert key?

Clifford McGlamry

CallManager supports the iDivert key to send a caller directly to voicemail without waiting for the RNA timer.

There is documentation for the UC500 that indicates that certain phones support iDivert.  But I cannot find any other doucmentation showing what versions of UC500/CME the feature is available in, or how to configure it.

We have a customer asking for this feature on a CME system.  Is it available in any version?

Hi friend, I think the iDivert softkey is not available for UC500/CME. But you can try this:

For CUCME 4.3 or later and CUE 3.0. The Transfer to Voice Mail feature allows a phone user to transfer a caller directly to a voice-mail

extension. The user presses the TrnsfVM soft key to place the call on hold, enters the extension number,

and then commits the transfer by pressing the TrnsfVM soft key again.

The TrnsfVM soft key is not supported on the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7905, 7912, or 7921, or analog

phones connected to the Cisco VG224 or Cisco ATA. These phones support the trnsfvm FAC.

David,

Currently iDivert its just support for CUCM not for CME, you could try the workaround suggested avove, there is another workaround that you could try is using direct transfer to voice mail. This configuration can be done using the E.164 option you could find the configuration for this in the follow link:

Hi Clifford,

Just to add a note to the great tip from David (+5 David)

iDivert is available in CUCM only, but a similar capability is available

in CME with DND if configured properly

Divert Incoming Calls

To forward any incoming call to the call forward destination for each line configured on the phone, for example forward to voice mail, press the DND key.

Note If the call-forward destination is not set, pressing the DND soft key disables the ringer.

Pressing the DND soft key during an incoming call forwards the call to the call-forward no answer destination if Call Forward No Answer is enabled. If Call Forward is not enabled, pressing the DND soft key disables audible ringing and visual alerting, but the call information is visible on the phone display.

Cheers!
