CME9.0 : Locale file for 8941 SCCP

Hi all,

I've downloaded local files for CME9.0

But in the tar file, there is no file like

gh-sccp.jar, there is only

gh-sip.jar

And in the debug I see 8941-SCCP requesting file gb-sccp-sip.jar.

Feb  2 07:06:29.598: TFTP: Looking for French_France/gb-sccp-sip.jar

So what is the gb code?

What is the real file for the 8941 SCCP.

Please help.

regards,

Antra

Accepted Solutions

Found a solution:

  1. download the locale for cme versione 9.1, file cme-full-9-1-locale.rar
  2. extract the file for your language, for me is DE: CME-locale-de_DE-German-8.8.2.5.tar
  3. from the locale language file extract the file gb-sccp-sip.jar
  4. copy the file gb-sccp-sip.jar in your flash0:/its/ directory
  5. add the command in you cme configuration: tftp-server flash0:/its/gb-sccp-sip.jar alias German_Germany/gb-sccp-sip.jar
  6. reset the phone.

Christian

Hi Antra,

Sorry to see you are having issues here

We have not done this as we don't run CME 9.0 but I do see

some "new" references for 9.0 localization in this doc. Maybe it

may help

Cheers!

hi,

do you find the correct file to change the language on 8941 SCCP??

Regards,

Pedro

Hello,

No success till now.

I've tried the file downloaded with the locale files but, the IP phone doesn't change its layout.

It is still the english language.

Hi,

I downloaded 9.1 & 9.0 full archives, both don't include the locales.

Hi Steffen,

Try the individual file set from this path

Unified Communications Manager Express Individual File Set-9.0

Hello ,

How are you doing ? I was searching for this file gb-sccp-sip.jar and I see that you already have this file please can you share it with me. I would like to convert a cp-8941 to sip.

Thank you.

Hi,

Please refer to the CME guide that Rob posted, particularly the section titled Using the Locale Installer in CME 7.0.1 or later. You need to download the full local tar files for 9.1 located below and extract the file locally on your pc. There are a number of individual tar files for specific localisation, you simply need to upload the tar file to flash, there is no specific requirement to extract the files to flash. Follow the guideline for configuring cnf-files per phone and set user-defined locale:
