I need to know if the cmm modules that are in a 6509 are supported with the sup 720

Hi Jason,
The CMM are supported with the Sup720. We were recently planning on going this route to replace our 6608 blades (due to IOS Core upgrade). Here you go;
Hardware Supported
CMM requires either a Supervisor Engine 1, Supervisor Engine 2, or Supervisor Engine 720. The supervisor engine can have an MSFC, MSFC2, or MSFC3, but CMM does not require one for configuration or operation. Software recommendations are listed in

Be aware of this OLD** Field Notice;
Field Notice: Cisco Communications Media Module Does Not Operate With Supervisor Engines 720-3B and 720-3BXL
No workaround is available at this time. The Cisco Communications Media Module does not operate with the Cisco Supervisor Engines 720-3B or 720-3BXL. Official support for the Cisco Supervisor Engines will be available in Cisco IOS release 12.3(8)XY2 for the Communications Media Module.
