Co-operate directory search fails when publisher is down

I have integrated Microsoft AD with CUCM 8.6, I have noticed that when publisher is down phones unable to search co-operate directory, what is the reason for this?

Please let me know the status of Call Manager Database replication from either utils dbreplication runtimestate or through RTMT.

Also, about the reachability of AD from Subscriber when Publisher goes down.

What is the error message u get on IP phone after u try to search for user from Corporate Directory?

Replication is ok, (2),

Subscriber has the reachability,

IP Phone says "Host not found"

Just to check whether u get this  option or not after LDAP is being used.

What has been configured in URL Authentication/Directories  under Enterprise Parameters in call Manager?Is it IP address or hostname of Publsiher which is further resolved by DNS server.
