Cobras issue backing up messages

I am attempting to back up messagse on unity 7 with cobras and migrate them to unity 8.5.  I have run into problems with accounts that use Imapping.  All acounts using this provide this error message below after cobras backup has run (user replaces name of actual user)

(error) could not login to user's inbox with alias=alias

Anybody have any ideas?

Cobras issue backing up messages

Hi Colin,

Could you please check if there is a firewall or anti-virus software running which would prevent access. If there's something like this installed on the Windows server where you are running COBRAS export or Import on it might cause this problem.  This is by far the most common problem.  By default they will block use of port 25 (SMTP) and message restores will fail if that's  the case.

Also make sure port 443 is open between the client machine and the server you're backing up or restoring to.

You can also try with the latest COBRAS version available at:

www.ciscounitytools.com
