We are required to validate all upgrades in the lab prior to doing
them in production. This has revealed a somewhat unusual problem.
I have built a VMWare image and upgraded it to 6.1(4a)SU2 several times. When I attempt to upgrade to 6.1(5) using the image of CCO (yes, it properly checksums), it consistantly hangs in the same spot.
Consistantly it's occurring and within a few lines of the same place. The logs on the last attempt show it hanging at this point:
02/21/2010 13:38:01 upgrade_manager.sh|Copying "././RedHat/APPRPMS/cm-ccmhelp-1.1.0.0-2.i386.rpm" to "/common/rpm-archive/6.1.5.10000-10/RPMS"|<LVL::Info>
02/21/2010 13:38:04 upgrade_manager.sh|Copying "././RedHat/APPRPMS/cm-ccmivr-6.0.0.1-1.i386.rpm" to "/common/rpm-archive/6.1.5.10000-10/RPMS"|<LVL::Info>
02/21/2010 13:38:04 upgrade_manager.sh|Copying "././RedHat/APPRPMS/cm-ccmmib-0.0.0.1-0.i386.rpm" to "/common/rpm-archive/6.1.5.10000-10/RPMS"|<LVL::Info>
Has anyone else seen this, or is anyone aware of a cause/workaround for this?

Are you using SFTP or DVD ?
Is failing PUB or SUB?
Can you please get Install logs?
Thanks

I was using DVD. I finally got it to finish. Had to kill the running process that was hung (which hasn't always worked in the past). Then rebooted it a
nd started it again, and it successfully completed.
6 attempts to get it to work leaves me nervous about this one.
