Communications Manager Express 7.1 and HWIC-4B-S/T

Hi,

We have a 2811 router with a HWIC-4B-S/T card that we are configuring for use with Call Manager Express. Though the BRI ports are visible - BRI0/0/0 to BRI0/0/3 we are not able to create any voice ports for these cards. When trying to creat voice ports the only option we have is for ports 50 ( the virtual ones). Any suggestions on what needs to be done ?

Just out of curiousity,are you inputting the voice-port commands:

voice-port 0/0/0

or

voice-port 0/0/0/0

Hi Art,

After some digging around found the answer to this and the HWIC card we had installed is a data only card. It doesn't support voice so the various voice port commands won't work. Instead we will swap the card for a voice BRI either a VIC2-2BRI- NT/TE or EM-4BRI-NT/TE=.
