Hello All,
While configuring the MGCP gateway, I want to use only 15 D Channels. Is it possible to achive this by giving the command "Pri-group 1-15 Service MGCP". I was discussing the same with my collegue and he was telling, this command won't help in the case of MGCP. If that is true what is the use of this command, and what is the best way to configure only 15 channels in MGCP.
Thanks in Advance.

You can do a setup with a fractional PRI with MGCP, you just can't use the download of configuration from the CUCM since that always will be a full blown PRI with 24 (T1) or 30 (E1) channels. For this you would need to manually configure all needed MGCP parts in IOS, leaving out the ccm-manager config command.

Hi Ajey,
You are mapping your 23 B channels and 1D channel in T1 -PRI for MGCP.You can also say channels like TimeSlots.
B channel is used for Voice while D channel is for Signalling.

Hi Shetty,
Fractional E1 PRI is not supported on MGCP.
Go for H.323 .

Also check the Busy-out B Channels of MGCP GW, though it is not TAC supported
