Configuring AutoQos?

Just a quick question, after just having rolled out our new CCM system, we are having a small call quality issue with the call dropping out then fading back in rather quickly.

Just wondering if configuring autoqos on our L2 switches will help with this problem.

Also if anyone could provide any sample configs, for access ports, and trunk ports on the switches, it would be much appreciated.

QoS on your switches could possibly help, definitely would not hurt and is a recommended best practice. Take a look at the Campus QoS Design section of the QoS SRND below. It gives sample configurations as well as definitions of the commands enabled by turning on AutoQoS.

You might also look at errors, slips, etc on any digital circuits as well as look for speed/duplex mismatches anywhere along the network path.

QoS is vital for IPT traffic at all levels. By levels I mean the switch port all the way through your WAN ports. People really do under estimate the importance.

Usually AutoQoS on the switches works fine. Read about it so you can tweak as needed. I do recommend implementing QoS across the WAN just as much though if you have IPT across the WAN.
