Configuring CCM as Subsriber

Hi all, before all I'd like to thank the team of this forum for their assistance and helps and we really appreciate it.

So , i got stuck in something regarding CallManager 6.1, i got this configuration:

2xMCS 7825 for Cisco CallManager 6.1

One license file which include the seats for 1000 seats and the DLU.

So i know that when we are deploying CCM with redundancy we only need one Seats License (when dploying the CCM with 1:1 redundancy) which is going to be tied up to the Publisher's mac address, but since the service of the CallManager can only be activated by uploading the license file how we can configure the second server to act as the Subscriber and we only have one license which is going to be uploaded by the first one or the Publisher.

For the subscriber to have all services up and running the publisher has to have the correct amount of node licenses. With out that the subcriber wont start correctly.

You need to make sure you have the correct amount of node licenses installed on the publisher. If your just using the 50 user starter licenses that ships with CCM6.X this will not allow you to add a subscriber.

I would probably start with the install guide for the publisher install:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/install/6_0_1/install/cmins601.html

I would also have a look at the administrator guide and system guide so you can get a understanding of the new features and how to configure them:

All the lics are uploaded to the publisher not the subscribers. If you have added the sub correctly then you will be able to start all the services.

Have you already setup the sub??

i know this :) but for the subscriber to have all service up it need to have a license file uploaded !! Am i right? and by the way i'm feel easily with the configuration of CallManager 4.1 but since the licence file was introduced and for me i didn't work with the new version so for me it was like a black box :) thanks again

Hi, is anyone there to show me the steps for configuring the publisher :)

Thanks
