confused about CME licensing

Hi Experts,

I am a newbie to Cisco UC.

I am confused about CME licensing.

Let's say I want to run 3925 as  CME for 10 7945 phones and 10 8961 phones.

I understand that I have to buy the 3925 CME bundle which has 3945E Voice Bundle w/ PVDM3-64, FL-CME-SRST-25, UC License PAK.

What is the part number for the phones? I see 2 options?

CP-7945G -  Cisco Unified IP Phone 7945G

CP-7945G-CCME -  Cisco Unified IP Phone 7945G, for Channels, with one Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express station user license

What is this station user license?? Is it necessary to buy any separate licenses for the phones apart from FL-CME-SRST-25 ?

Many thanks,

Pete.

Hi Peter.

When you Order a CUCME with FL-CME-SRST-25, you have licensed 25 phones only.

For further IP Phones you should buy a license for them and you have two options:

Buy a further SRST-CME License which is available with minimum of  5 license package.

Buy a single Phone with a CME license bundle which is CP-79XXX-CCME depending on model (eg your CP-7945G-CCME)

Hi Peter,

Part Code FL-CME-SRST-25 stands for 25 seat license.

Station licenses would be a user license .You need to have part code SW-CCME-UL-7945=  and separate user license for phones.
