Confused re configuring 7912 via cme 3.3, ios 12.4 and files needed

To the VOIP and IP telephony techs out there.

I am totally confused for the initial setup/configuration of 7912 phone to CME 3.3 running IOS 14.2(T)

The CME & IOS Compatability website shows necessary firwware to use for above phone (for which I have)

However. Visiting another site http://www.voip-info.org shows other files related to gkdefault.cnf, gk<mac_address> for the phone specific configuration for the 7912.

And then mentions a needed conversion file, ptag.dat, cfgfmt and others but no cisco site shows this

Am simply trying to set up a 7912 phone using SCCP to the above environ

Your assistance and guidance is very much appreciated.

The XML configuration files are generated by IOS when you use the 'load' command within telephony-service. You only need to load the appropriate firmware files and have the tftp-server commands to publish them.

parts are for SCCP and some SIP so dissected what I needed and setup.

My 7912 phone still doesnt register in CME 3.3.

Phone goes into loop of Configuring IP VLAN,Configuring CMList and Configuring

I run debug tftp events but output is nothing. ie no output.

Run sh ephone registered.

Returns no ephone in specified type/condition

Run sh ephone summary..

cme_router#sh ephone summary

ephone-1 Mac:0017.9570.8E67 TCP socket:[-1] activeLine:0 UNREGISTERED

mediaActive:0 offhook:0 ringing:0 reset:0 reset_sent:0 debug:0
