Connection PLAR on FXO port

All - I am currently having an issue with a connection plar on one of my FXO ports.

At my Vancouver location, I have a POTs line connected to a FXO port with a connection plar to an IP phone.

When you call the POTs line your hear ringing and the IP phone flashes briefly, but doesnt allow you to pick it up.

Any thoughts?

Re: Connection PLAR on FXO port

Try "connection plar opx 326099" Also if you're not paying for caller-id, I would remove the "caller-id enable" command, this can cause issues.

Yosh - that seemed to improve the process.  The IP phone now has full rings, but when you answer, it just disconnects.  The caller still hears ringing.  And the IP phone will start ringing again, but the call can not be answered.

Thanks,

Jaime

Jaime,Have you solved that

Jaime,

Have you solved that issue? I have the exact same situation in a client, the only difference is that it is working fine on one single FXO port, but not on the other 3.

Thank you,

Bruno

What CODEC are you using?

In CUCM do you have MTP checked?

Do you have "Wait for far end H245 teminal capability set" checked?

Codec is G.711U

Yes, MTP is checked and so is "Wait for far end H245 teminal capability set"

Its strange, as soon as I pickup the call on the IP phone, it sounds like its going to connect the call, and then it just drops.

Perhaps a Codec issue?

Thanks,

Jaime

Do you have G711 as the prefered codec, under your Region and Voice-class codec? I would uncheck the "Wait for far end H245 teminal capability set" and if you still have issues verify that you do have an MTP resource available.

Yes, G711 is set as the preferred.  The GW does have MTP resources available.

The weird thing is that, the office said it worked just fine about a week ago.

Thanks,

Jaime

Did anything major changes (upgrades, etc) Did you try resetting the GW? Also did you try unchecking the "Wait for far end h245 TCS"

Hi Jaime,

If you are getting Half rings,  I just to get back to you TELCO and get the cabling changed.

I am 100% sure its a cabling issue.

Do let me know how that works.

Rate the post accordingly.

Yosh - nothing major changed with CUCM or on the GW.  Yes, I tried  resetting the GW and unchecking "wait for far end h245 TCS".  No luck.

Islam - debug attached:

Kevin - thanks for the info.  I had the carrier dispatch a tech.

Islam - I am still waiting for the telco tech to arrive.  I am also having someone check the cable.  I am not physically onsite.

I should hopefully have an update shortly.

Thanks,

Jaime
