Connection PLAR

I've a 2811 router with one VIC2-2FXO card install, running c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-6.T6.bin IOS.

The configuration:

voice-port 0/1/0

echo-cancel coverage 24

no comfort-noise

connection plar 5028

dial-peer voice 3 pots

preference 1

destination-pattern .T

progress_ind alert enable 8

progress_ind progress enable 8

progress_ind connect enable 8

no digit-strip

direct-inward-dial

port 0/1/0

forward-digits 0

dial-peer voice 2 voip

preference 1

destination-pattern .T

session target ipv4:192.168.25.4

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

codec g711ulaw

ip qos dscp cs5 media

no vad

However, when I dial the POTS number assigned to the current analog line that is connected to this port 0/1/0, I got one ring and then a contious fast-busy tone. It should have rang to a particular extension, but it never dit.

I've verified that this analog line is capable of making inbound and outbound calls, and is working fine.

Can someone please help. Any input is greatly appreciated.

The debug voip ccapi inout is attached.

Thanks.

Your call is trying to go out the same DP 1.

Please configure destination-pattern like 5... on DP 2.

Also you don't need preference, progress_ind, and qos for media.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Thanks Paolo for your response. I'll try it out and update you on its status.

Paolo,

If I use "connection plar opx 4564", I could see that incoming call to the FXO port is connected, hear the ringing tone, but the ip phone is not ringing.

Thanks for your help.

Paolo,

Thanks for your help.

I am having trouble of getting it to work still. It still didn't forward incoming call to extension 4564 as I'd like. Got fast busy signal.

Things that I've done:

a. removed the existing POTS line, and used a different POTS line conected to port 0/1/0. verified that the new POTS line is able to call in/out.

b. Disconnnect POTS line going into voice-port 0/1/1

c. Shutdown voice-port 0/1/1

d. Created dial-peer voice 6 pots - set similar setting as dial-peer 5 pots.

e. Did a shut/no shut on voice-port 0/1/0

This is the current config:

voice-port 0/1/0

echo-cancel coverage 24

no comfort-noise

connection plar 4564

!

voice-port 0/1/1

echo-cancel coverage 24

no comfort-noise

shutdown

Can you add timing hookflash-out 500 under your voiceport and see.

Thanks Rajesh for your response. I've added the command you mentioned, but it made no difference. Still got fast busy signal.

Attached new debug output..

I got a hold of TAC...the problem that PLAR wasn't working correctly because the Call Manager rejected it due to improper setup or lack of the search base for the gateway. I'll get in touch with my colleages who handles the call manager to correct this issue.

Thanks everyone for your input.
