I just wondering can my analog phone which is connected to VG248 can able to communicate with other intercomm, just within in one place or one bldg., somebody told me that intercom does not carries ext.# just only a signal/audio.
If the Analog phone (Intercom) is set to Hotline/Plar to a pre-defined number then no it can only work that way. If the Analog phone is set with an Internal CSS then it can call and be called from any other Internal phones. If the Analog phone is set with a DID # and External CSS it can call and be called from External PSTN numbers. I think the person you were talking with was referring to scenario #1 where the Analog phone is set up as a Hotline/PLAR/Intercom.
Hope this helps! Hopefully I'm not way off base here :)
