Correct procedure to reprovision a phone and voice mail

Hi all,

We have CME and Unity Express. What is the correct procedure to reprovision a phone and voice mail when a user leaves the company? Ideally we would like to have the following setup. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Go to your phone and pick up the headset.


Press the button under the word, Messages.


System will request your password, the first time you access voice mail to set-up your mailbox the password is 12345 – Dial “12345” and press the # (pound) key.


You will now hear the tutorial, which will assist you in opening your voice mailbox. Please follow the voice prompts to complete the following:


    1. Record your Name


    2. Record your Password


    3. Record your Greeting

    All you need to do is delete the user account/extension who left and add the new user replacing them. If they are suing the same extension, just ensure you delete the old user first and add the new user
