CP521 & UC520

Hi,

I have an UC520 with a couple of 521 IP Phones. I configure the UC520, plug the phones to the integrated switch and they don't want to register. The display keeps showing "Registering"... "Initializing Network"... "Downloading SEP<mac>.cnf.xml" ... "XMLDefault524G.cnf.xml".

When I want to configure the type of phone, I don't see anything like CP521.

Do you know which type may I use or the firmware I need to register successful?

Hi friends,

I figure it out. The IOS version that ships with my UC520 (XW4) doesn't work for CP521/524 phones. To successfully register and support CP521/524 phones you'll need, minimum, IOS XW7.

After upgrading to XW7, CP521 phones works immediately.

Hi I have a new UC520 with IOS 12.4(11)XW7, and have similar problem with 521/524 IP phones. They register fine and automatically detected. However in the more button on voice users screen they show in a questioned state and they are not listed in the drop down if you try to add them manually
