I have an unusual issue where users on our IPT network are experiencing crosstalk on their IP phones. Symptoms include: Users are lifting the reciever to find a conversation in play, or they will be engaged in a conversation and other parties will join on the original call but be unaware of the original parties, and lastly users will be on a call and one of the original speakers will fade out and get disconnected. Then someone else will fade in and have to be told that they are in the middle of someone else's call. This has happened on both shared lines and non shared lines. Its extremely random as far as uses and when it occurs. Right now the only common factor is all the reporters of the issue appear to be at one single location of our IPT network. However they are NOT all on the same switch as we have multiple switches installed. Also the other parties that get joined in do NOT always appeart to be at that one location. They will be external callers or other remote locations.
We just had a customer report a similar issue, they had seen it twice, most recently yesterday, when they rebooted CM servers it seemed to clear. They are on 4.1(3)sr4d, and we just saw in the rls notes for sr5C a fix related to 'alien crosstalk' bugs - the bugs are not visible, but we will apply the sr and see if it fixes our issue..
